This is a great chiropractic story and because it was so severe and received such amazing results with only one month of chiropractic care, we had to share this one with you!
Our patient is an 18 year old girl who presented to our office with severe migraines. Her headaches began after a boat ride with family and friends and progressively got worse. Her parents took her to several medical doctors since she did not respond to commonly used migraine medication.
She was referred to several neurologists who provided MRI’s, blood work, spinal taps and many other tests. Her migraines got so severe she could not attend high school, drive, or hang with her friends. She was home schooled and in and out of the hospital for tests. Her life went from a happy bubbly girl in her senior year full of social events to not being able to function beyond her home. Many medications were tried and the last given was morphine which did not help either.
The family came to our office out of desperation. Upon our examination we found vertebral subluxations of both the cervical and occipital ( head) area. We scheduled her for chiropractic adjustments throughout the month and after the first week, she began to “feel better.” Her migraines became less severe and she was capable of getting up and interacting with her family. By the third week of adjustments she was going back to school and starting her plans for her prom. She now drives herself to her visits and is a typical amazing teenager with a schedule and social life that is exhausting!
Her visits are now less to our office, but she doesn’t miss them. She is a great chiropractic story who overcame severe migraines with simple chiropractic care and NO DRUGS!

Lisa ~ that is an amazing story that just warms my heart!
It is a good one! Wish more people would give chiropractic the patience and heart within.
Oh what a wonderful feel good story- delighted that she’s now okay!
I really appreciate you sharing this story with us. I had second thoughts about going to a chiropractor for my back pain but now i definitely think it’s a wise decision.
Briana, that is great! The only thing to consider is finding a chiropractor that fits your personality as with anyone who is going to take care of you (dentist, hairstylist, gyno etc..) We sometimes just go to professionals without the priority of making sure the person works well with your spirit. So, ask some close friends and see what chiropractor they like and ask WHY. I like people who spend time with me and listen.. also you can’t throw a quick fix or prescription at me. When I need a professional, I need one who comes from the heart and not the clock, wallet or ego. Once you tackle that obstacle, you will fall in love with how well your body will heal with chiropractic. ~Dr. Lisa
